Child Safety Standards (CSAE/CSAM)
TalkaTree has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, including child sexual abuse material.
Effective date: January 1, 2026
These standards explain how TalkaTree works to prevent, report and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). They apply across the TalkaTree app, website and community spaces.
1. Zero-tolerance policy
We do not allow CSAE or CSAM in any form. Creating, sharing, requesting, promoting or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor is strictly prohibited.
2. Prohibited content and behavior
- Any sexual content involving a person under 18, including images, video, audio, text or links.
- Grooming, manipulation, solicitation, sextortion or attempts to contact minors for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, requesting, storing or linking to child sexual abuse material.
- Role-play, coded language or other content that sexualizes minors or encourages their exploitation.
- Trafficking or any other activity that endangers children or facilitates access to minors.
3. Reporting and safety tools
If you encounter CSAE, CSAM or another child-safety concern, report it immediately.
- In the app: use Report on the relevant post, comment, message or profile where available.
- Block: block the account to stop interaction and hide its content.
- By email: contact support@talkatree.com with relevant links, screenshots and details. Use the subject “Child Safety / CSAE.”
4. Moderation and enforcement
Depending on the situation, TalkaTree may:
- Remove violating content immediately and preserve evidence where legally required.
- Restrict, suspend or permanently ban accounts, including repeat offenders.
- Escalate a matter to the appropriate authorities when required by law or when there is an imminent risk of harm.
5. Legal compliance and contact
TalkaTree complies with applicable child-safety laws and cooperates with lawful requests from authorities. When CSAM is verified, we follow procedures for reporting it to the relevant regional authority, including NCMEC in the United States where applicable.
